Former subpostmaster Alan Bates, who led the campaign to expose the Horizon IT scandal, has told the Post Office inquiry that the organisation has spent 23 years trying to silence him. Humza Yousaf has announced his resignation as Scotland's first minister ahead of forthcoming confidence votes. Mr Yousaf had been battling for his political survival after terminating the power-sharing deal between the SNP and Scottish Greens on Thursday.
