In his triumphant victory speech following the election, Russian President Vladimir Putin boldly asserted that Russia stands firm and resolute, refusing to be cowed by external pressures.
This historic moment solidifies Putin's legacy as one of the longest-serving leaders in Russian history, spanning over two centuries.
Putin's election victory speech also contained a sobering warning about the potential consequences of a conflict erupting between Russia and the US-led NATO military alliance.
He cautioned that such a scenario could escalate into World War III, emphasising the precariousness of the global situation.
However, Putin was quick to stress that no one desired such a catastrophic outcome.

vetoed the resolution, calling it "absolutely absurd and politicized," as well as a "dirty spectacle.".
