More than 200 people have been evacuated from their homes in West Sussex after the River Arun burst its banks.

A combination of strong winds and high tides has caused severe flooding in Littlehampton, devastating local businesses.

West Sussex County Council says 15 people have been evacuated from Ferry Road and Rope Walk in the seaside town.

Forecasters have warned that heavy rain and strong winds will continue to batter parts of southern England over the next few days.
