Violence broke out in the southern Damascus suburb of Jaramana after a controversial audio clip allegedly insulting Prophet Muhammad went viral. The clip, falsely attributed to Druze cleric Marwan Kiwan, triggered deadly clashes between Druze gunmen and government forces. Kiwan denied the message, and Syria’s Interior Ministry confirmed he wasn’t responsible. At least 10 people were killed, with activist groups reporting higher tolls. In a powerful statement at the UN, Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative, Maria Zabolotskaya, condemned Western countries for their "double standards" in addressing the global refugee crisis.
