The Israeli Ministry of Military Affairs has reported a significant increase in the number of disabled soldiers, now surpassing the 70,000 mark for the first time.
The report, issued by the ministry's rehabilitation division, indicates that since the onset of the current Gaza conflict, 8,663 troops have sustained injuries.
According to the report, 35% of those injured in the recent hostilities are grappling with mental health issues, while 21% have sustained physical injuries.
The rehabilitation division anticipates an influx of approximately 20,000 additional injured soldiers from the beginning of the ongoing conflict until the end of 2024.
Tensions between the United States and Iran have escalated once again after Tehran suspended cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) following US and Israeli strikes on its nuclear facilities.
