Haryana Shuts Down Internet in Nuh Ahead of Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra After Last Year's Violence

The Haryana government has ordered a 24-hour suspension of mobile internet and bulk SMS services in Nuh district ahead of the Braj Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra.

This decision, effective from 6 PM Sunday to 6 PM Monday, aims to prevent the spread of misinformation and ensure public safety following the violent clashes during last year's procession.

Last year, violence erupted during the Vishva Hindu Parishad procession, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries, including the tragic killing of a mosque's naib imam in Gurugram.

This year, unprecedented security measures are in place, including police, paramilitary forces, and drone surveillance, to ensure a peaceful yatra.
