Earthquake Latest: Death Toll Mounts Close To 100| 49 Aftershocks Recorded After 7.1-Magnitude
A powerful 7.1-magnitude earthquake struck Tibet on Tuesday morning, resulting in at least 95 confirmed deaths and over 130 injuries.
The epicenter, located in Tingri County near the border with Nepal, caused widespread devastation across remote Himalayan villages and nearby areas, including Shigatse city.
Over 1,000 homes were damaged, and rescue efforts, including military support and air force involvement, are ongoing.
The earthquake also caused significant damage in the region, with 49 aftershocks recorded.
Tremors were felt as far as Nepal and northern India
