Pacific Palisades residents return to destroyed neigbourhood

Pacific Palisades residents are returning to their ruined homes as the Los Angeles wildfires continue to burn.

But miraculously, Farhad, an architect, has found that his home has been untouched by fire, thanks to the efforts of firefighters who battled to keep the inferno from spreading.

But many are not so fortunate.

Farhad's neighbour, Paul, has returned to an apocalyptic scene in a sea of devastation.

But Paul and Farhad are both mourning the loss of a neighbourhood.

Standing in the rubble of his home, Paul says "the true loss" for him is of "connections and community".
