The Centre has approved the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) request to prosecute former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal and ex-deputy CM Manish Sisodia under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in the excise policy case.

This decision follows Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena’s recommendation.

Both leaders, granted bail earlier, face allegations of irregularities in the 2021-22 excise policy.

ED claims non-cooperation during questioning.
