In a major security development, alert Border Security Force (BSF) troops foiled an infiltration bid along the International Border in Jammu during the intervening night of April 4 and 5.

Despite repeated warnings, the intruder continued to advance, prompting BSF personnel to open fire at Jammu Border Encounter.

The intruder was shot dead on the spot.
