Starmer says UK and allies are ‘calling Putin out’
Sir Keir Starmer says that European allies "together with the US" are "calling Putin out", as the pressure increases on Russia to accept an unconditional ceasefire.

As Vladimir Putin commemorates Victory Day with a massive military parade and China's Xi Jinping by his side, Russia and Ukraine accuse each other of violating a short-lived three-day ceasefire. While Putin vows to be an “indestructible barrier against Nazism,” Ukraine dismisses the rhetoric and escalates drone attacks on Moscow and Belgorod. Russia counters with claims of over 5,000 Ukrainian violations. With airstrikes and accusations intensifying, the ceasefire has collapsed into a fresh wave of conflict and political posturing on both sides.
