Members of a pro-Palestinian activist group have broken into a military base and damaged two aircrafts.
Two Palestine Action activists broke into RAF Brize Norton in Carterton, Oxfordshire, on e-scooters and sprayed red paint on two planes.
The group said the incident took place due to flights departing daily from the base to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus, "a base used for military operations in Gaza and across the Middle East".

Nasser Al-Laham, the prominent head of Al Mayadeen TVâs Palestine bureau, has been arrested by Israeli forces following a violent pre-dawn raid on his home. According to reports by Al Mayadeen, Shin Bet officers stormed the house and destroyed belongings while searching for the studio from where Al-Laham appeared on-air.
The arrest comes amid increasing crackdowns on pro-resistance media voices in the occupied territories. Al-Laham was transferred to the notorious Ofer Court in the occupied West Bank, where his detention was extended until Thursday. The operation has triggered outrage among journalists, human rights groups, and regional media networks, who condemn the targeting of press freedom. Al Mayadeen, a Beirut-based channel often critical of Israel and aligned with the Resistance Axis, has described the arrest as an attempt to silence Palestinian voices. This development adds further tension to an already volatile West Bank, where media suppression is becoming increasingly common.

In a dramatic escalation, Yemenâs Armed Forces have claimed responsibility for a massive drone and missile assault targeting key Israeli infrastructure, including Ben Gurion Airport, Ashdod Port, and the Eilat Port. Yemeni military spokesman Brig. Gen. Yahya Saree confirmed the use of the indigenous âPalestine 2â hypersonic missile and locally built UAVs in retaliation against Israeli strikes on Yemen and in solidarity with Gaza. The strike forced Israel to shut down its primary international airport, with sirens sounding across the Dead Sea area. The Yemeni Armed Forces declared their readiness for prolonged confrontation and reiterated a vow to continue strategic blockades and attacks until Israel halts its Gaza offensive. With over 57,000 Palestinians dead since October 2023, the operation underscores a widening regional war and a unified resistance front across West Asia. Israeli interceptors reportedly failed to stop the attacks, raising serious concerns about defense gaps.

Ceasefire hopes dim as the first round of indirect talks between Israel and Hamas ends inconclusively in Doha, Qatar. According to Palestinian sources, the Israeli delegation arrived without the authority to finalize a deal â casting serious doubt on Netanyahuâs commitment to ending the war. Meanwhile, Gaza remains under siege, with over 57,000 Palestinians killed, infrastructure destroyed, and hostages still held captive. As Netanyahu heads to Washington for a third meeting with President Trump, pressure mounts from both international mediators and citizens at home demanding action.
Is a deal still possible â or is peace slipping further away?

In a fiery press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shut down claims about a shift in U.S. weapons supply to Ukraine, calling it âfake news.â Leavitt clarified that a recent Pentagon assessment was a routine global audit of U.S. military aid, not a pullback. âThis was standard policy â not specific to Ukraine,â she said. Leavitt then turned to the Middle East, stating the Trump administrationâs top priority is ending the Gaza war and securing the release of hostages. She confirmed that Israel had approved a ceasefire deal, which has now been sent to Hamas for approval. The press secretary expressed hope that Hamas would agree to the proposal, indicating that the U.S. is pressing for diplomatic resolution in the region. The dual clarification on Ukraine and Gaza reveals the administrationâs efforts to quell disinformation and manage multiple crises on the global stage.

In a dramatic overnight operation, Israeli warplanes struck six high-value Houthi targets across Yemen, including three strategic Red Sea ports, the Ras Kathib power plant, and the radar system aboard the seized Galaxy Leader cargo ship. The IDF claims the shipâs radar was used for maritime surveillance and missile coordination.
The strikes â completed in under an hour â mark one of Israelâs most significant escalations in the Red Sea conflict zone. Massive explosions were reported in Hodeidah, Ras Isa, and As-Salif as Israeli forces targeted what they say were key military supply routes and Iranian-linked infrastructure.
This comes amid rising tensions across the region and renewed Houthi missile launches toward Israeli territory. What does this mean for the wider Middle East conflict? Is a broader war looming in the Red Sea?

Just hours after launching the massive "Operation Black Flag" airstrikes on Houthi targets in Yemen, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu departs for Washington to meet with President Donald Trump.
In his statement before leaving, Netanyahu reaffirmed his mission: to crush Hamas, confront Iran and Hezbollah, bring all hostages home, and ensure Gaza will never again threaten Israel. This marks his third meeting with Trump since the 2024 elections â a critical moment for U.S.-Israel coordination as regional tensions boil over.
With fire raining on the Red Sea and new alliances forming, Netanyahuâs visit could reshape the Middle East â militarily and diplomatically.

In a dramatic admission, former Shin Bet chief Ami Ayalon has warned that despite military gains in Gaza, Israel is ultimately losing the war. In a public statement, Ayalon said, "No matter how many battles we win, we will lose if there's no political solution." He stressed that without a vision for peace, particularly a two-state solution, Israel risks destroying its own identity as both a Jewish and democratic state. Calling a Palestinian state "Hamasâs worst nightmare," Ayalon urged Israeli leadership to look beyond short-term military victories and invest in long-term political outcomes. His comments come amid growing criticism from Israeli officials and security experts about the governmentâs handling of the conflict. Ayalonâs voice adds weight to the urgent global calls for a ceasefire and meaningful diplomacy. His stark words have sent shockwaves through Israeli political circles and reignited the debate over the only viable path to peace.
