Chicago Cubs star and Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg dies at 65.

The second baseman affectionately known as "Ryno" passed away on Monday after a battle with metastatic prostate cancer.

The Hall of Famer's family shared a post on Instagram announcing his death, revealing that he was surrounded by family when he passed away at his home.

Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts stated that Sandberg was a hero to a generation of Cubs fans and will be remembered as one of the greatest players in the franchise's nearly 150-year history.

SNL set to return for season 51 on October 4.

Saturday Night Live will return for its 51st season on Saturday, October 4, 2025, airing live on NBC at 11:30 PM ET/10:30 PM CT.

While the premiere date is confirmed, details regarding the host, musical guest, and the full cast list for the new season have yet to be officially announced.

It is expected that announcements about the new season will be released later this summer.
