Emirates airline announces $52bn order for 95 Boeing planes
Monday, 13 November 2023 Emirates airline has placed a $52 billion order for 95 Boeing planes at the Dubai Airshow, the largest sale at the event so far. The order includes 55 Boeing 777-9s, 35 777-8s, and an upgrade to an existing order for 30 787 Dreamliners. This investment demonstrates Dubai's commitment to the future of aviation, according to Emirates CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Budget carrier flydubai also announced an order for 30 Boeing 787-9s. With this deal, Emirates' order book now stands at 295 planes, including 205 777X aircraft.
