Centre: Don’t penalise car owners over high security number plates

IndiaTimes Friday, 14 July 2023
The road transport ministry has advised enforcement agencies not to penalise vehicle owners for not having High Security Registration Plates (HSRP), if the state in which the vehicle is registered has not yet notified the authorised vendors for providing these number plates. This advisory has been issued to avoid harassment of such vehicle owners in other states such as Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana.
