14 dead as Telangana district logs India's heaviest 24 hour rainfall this monsoon
The death toll in the extreme rain spell in Telangana this week rose to 23 with 14 more bodies recovered on Friday from flood waters in Mulugu district, which recorded the heaviest 24-hour rainfall in India so far during this year’s monsoon season. Eight out of 14 deaths due to extreme rainfall in Telangana’s Mulugu district were reported from village Kondai, which was completely inundated on Thursday.
