8-yr-old girl abducted, raped in Aluva; habitual offender held

Barely over a month after a five-year-old girl was raped and killed at Aluva market, an eight-year-old girl was kidnapped from her house and sexually assaulted at Edayapuram in the town, some five km away, early on Thursday. Police arrested the accused - Crystal Raj (27) of Chengal, Neyyattinkara - from near the Aluva Marthanda Varma bridge by evening.
