Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena substantial increase in monthly relief for Kashmiri migrants
The Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has approved an increase in the Adhoc Monthly Relief (AMR) provided to Kashmiri migrants in the national capital. The relief amount has been raised from Rs 10,000 to Rs 27,000 per month. This is the first substantial increase in the AMR in over 15 years. The AMR is provided under the Central Government's Security Related Expenditure (Relief and Rehabilitation) Scheme and aims to support families affected by militancy.
