No terror killing in Assam so far this year: DGP

Assam DGP GP Singh has said that no civilian or trooper was killed or abducted by any terrorist outfit in the state so far this year, a first since 1991. Speaking on the sidelines of a government event , Singh pointed out that the stringent Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) had been lifted from all but four districts. On Saturday, governor Gulab Chand Kataria asserted that the state β€œis largely peaceful” and lauded police for making it possible.
