Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath emphasises need for research to increase millets productivity
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has emphasized the importance of millets (Shri Anna) and called for research to increase their productivity. He stated that adopting a natural lifestyle, including the consumption of millets, can help combat epidemics like COVID-19. Adityanath inaugurated the state-level Shri Anna Mahotsav, an exhibition and workshop, and visited an exhibition organized by millet producers. He highlighted the decline in millet production due to population growth and a lack of research and development.
