'PM-eBus Sewa': Tender for about 3,000 buses likely to be issued next week
The Indian Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs is set to issue a tender for approximately 3,000 electric buses as part of the 'PM-eBus Sewa' scheme. The scheme, approved by the Union Cabinet in August, aims to provide 10,000 electric buses to 169 cities under a public-private partnership model. The ministry plans to roll out the scheme in the next five to six months. The buses will be equipped with GPS and integrated with a traffic management system.
