Telangana will have backward class CM if BJP wins poll: Amit Shah
Friday, 27 October 2023 In an effort to secure the substantial support of the Backward Class voters, which make up over 50% in Telangana, Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced on Friday that if the BJP triumphs in the November 30 state assembly election, a leader from this community would be chosen as the chief minister, according to Sribala Vadlapatla's report. Shah questioned CM K Chandrasekhar Rao, reminding him of his commitment to appoint a Dalit as the CM of Telangana. He also highlighted that Prime Minister Modi had established the National Commission for Backward Classes constitutionally.
