Rahul Gandhi promises free education in schools, colleges in Chhattisgarh if Congress retains power
Saturday, 28 October 2023 Congress leader Rahul Gandhi promised free education in government schools and colleges in Chhattisgarh and Rs 4,000 a year for 'tendu' leaves collectors if his party retains power in the state. He also pledged to conduct a caste census if voted to power and criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not doing the same. Gandhi emphasized the Congress' commitment to the interests of farmers, Dalits, laborers, and Adivasis. He also objected to the use of 'vanvasi' instead of 'Adivasi' and expressed concern for the well-being of a person who fainted during his speech.
