The arrest of Jyoti Priya Mallick, a state forest minister in Bengal, has revealed his alleged control over shell companies through his wife and associates. Central agencies have found evidence of money laundering amounting to Rs 95 crore. The agencies have also discovered large unaccounted cash deposits in the bank accounts of Mallick's wife and daughter during searches related to the PDS scam. Investigations have revealed the involvement of several individuals associated with the minister, including Bakibur Rahman, Kali Das Saha, and Mahendra Agarwal.
