This comes after 10 fishing boats and 64 fishermen from Tamil Nadu were apprehended by the Sri Lankan navy this month. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin has urged the Indian government to take necessary action to secure the release of the fishermen and protect their rights.
