Rapper Badshah quizzed over promoting Mahadev betting app during IPL matches

Rapper Badshah has been questioned by the Maharashtra cyber police for promoting the betting app FairPlay, which illegally streamed IPL matches, causing a loss of Rs 100 crore to media company Viacom18. Badshah's lawyer clarified that he was questioned as a witness and not as an accused. Other celebrities, including actor Sanjay Dutt, may also be called for further statements. FairPlay is being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate for money-laundering. Viacom18 has filed a complaint against the app for copyright infringement.
