DGCA proposes changes to flight crew duty norms

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has proposed changes to duty timings for flight crew to address concerns over fatigue. The proposed changes include more rest time for pilots, a weekly rest period of 48 hours, and reduced flight duty periods for pilots operating flights at night. The DGCA is also requesting a quarterly report from airline operations heads on fatigue reports and actions taken. These changes aim to ensure the well-being of pilots.
