CA’s golden dream turns to dust, cops hunt 3 for Rs 30 lakh con

A chartered accountant in Mumbai was swindled out of Rs 30 lakh by three men who convinced him that they had special mud that could turn into gold. The accountant had met one of the accused on a train journey and they kept in touch. The accused later brought samples of the mud, which appeared to turn into gold when melted. The accountant paid Rs 30 lakh for a sack of the mud but was unable to produce any gold. The police have filed a complaint and are searching for the suspects.
