NIA files chargesheet against five for planning terrorist conspiracy in India

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against five individuals, including four foreign nationals, for their involvement in a planned conspiracy by al-Qaida operatives to carry out terrorist activities in India. The accused infiltrated into India using forged documents and were engaged in fundraising, recruitment, and radicalization activities. Investigations have revealed that the accused had handlers based on both sides of the border who provided training and guidance. Efforts are being made to identify these handlers through diplomatic channels.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata.
