Dharmendra Pradhan launches PM SHRI scheme in Odisha schools run by Centre
Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan has launched the Pradhan Mantri Schools for Rising India (PM SHRI) scheme in Odisha. The scheme aims to develop schools across the country and will initially be implemented in 63 institutes in the state. The Odisha government is yet to sign a memorandum of understanding with the Department of School Education and Literacy. Pradhan expressed disappointment over the non-implementation of the scheme and urged the state government to consider it. The Centre has allocated Rs 50.8 crore for the state's schools, of which Rs 12.7 crore has already been released.
