‘Unwilling to fly with just 6 people’, IndiGo tricks them off plane
Monday, 20 November 2023 Six passengers traveling from Bengaluru to Chennai were tricked by IndiGo's ground staff into disembarking the aircraft with the promise of being put on an alternative flight. The airline allegedly did not want to fly with only six passengers. The stranded passengers were forced to stay overnight in the city. Later on, IndiGo confirmed the news, stating that the passengers flew on the following mornings. Passengers demanded action for the inconvenience.
A legal complaint has been lodged against Tejasvi Surya, the Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate from Bengaluru South and incumbent Member of Parliament, for allegedly appealing for votes based on religious affiliations. The Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer released a statement via the microblogging platform X, asserting that Mr. Surya had shared a video on social media explicitly soliciting votes on religious grounds. The case has been officially registered with the Jayanagar police station in Bengaluru.
