Exercise Mitra Shakti 2023: Indian, Sri Lankan armies hold joint tactical drills in Pune

Troops from the Indian and Sri Lankan armies engaged in joint tactical drills at the College of Military Engineering in Pune as part of Exercise Mitra Shakti 2023, according to an official statement. The ongoing ninth edition of the joint military exercise, taking place from November 16-29, involves 120 personnel from the Indian side and personnel from the 53 Infantry Division representing Sri Lanka. The exercise focuses on rehearsing Sub Conventional operations under Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, emphasizing joint responses during counter-terrorist operations.
