Tamil Nadu woman calls off wedding as 'friends dislike groom', found hanging 4 days later

A 20-year-old woman, who called off her wedding due to her friends' disapproval of the groom, was found hanging at her home in a village in Tamil Nadu's Ranipet. The woman's parents had arranged a marriage with her 30-year-old cousin, but she decided against it. Initially suspected of being in love with someone else, the woman clarified that she was willing to marry anyone chosen by her parents, as long as she approved of the groom. After a failed attempt at reconciliation, she returned home and was later found dead.
