Monday, 11 December 2023 After facing heat generated by Udhayanidhi Stalin’s ‘Sanatan Dharma’ remark, Congress was pulled into another controversy Monday after ally DMK’s MP in Rajya SabhaMohamed Abdulla quoted Dravidian ideologue Periyar to assert the right of every race to self- determination. The remark, made by Abdulla during the debate on two bills on J&K, was objected to by Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar, who said the DMK MP was “abusing the platform” and had “gone too far”. He expunged the remark.
