They have insulted my background, constitutional position: Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar
Trinamool Congress MP Kalyan Banerjee triggered an unseemly row by mimicking Rajya Sabha chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar during a 'mock session' held by opposition MPs protesting the suspension of 141 MPs. The video was filmed by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and posted on social media before being removed. Banerjee mimicked Dhankhar's earlier protest against allegations of being too reverential to the Prime Minister. Dhankhar expressed his upset in the Rajya Sabha, stating that the episode insulted his background as a farmer and Jat, as well as his constitutional position.
