Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut announced that his party will contest 23 of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra. The seat-sharing arrangement was discussed during a meeting of the opposition bloc INDIA, where Raut, Uddhav Thackeray, and Aaditya Thackeray held talks with Congress leaders. The Shiv Sena (UBT) is part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, along with the Congress and the NCP. Raut did not disclose the number of seats the Congress and NCP will contest, but stated that seat-sharing discussions will take place in Delhi.
