5 held for 'plotting to kill transgender'

Five people, including a 40-year-old transgender, were arrested for plotting to kill another transgender and "hiring contact killers by offering them Rs 2 lakh for the work" at Najibabad in Bijnor. Bijnor SP, Neeraj Kumar Jadaun, said, "Police got a tip-off about the presence of criminals at Mozzampur Tulsi Garhi village. The cops surrounded the place. Four accused were camping in a mango orchard. When the cops tried to arrest them, they fired at them. Police managed to foil their attack and arrested them."
