NIA files chargesheet against Pakistan terrorist, two overground workers
Tuesday, 9 January 2024 NIA on Tuesday filed a chargesheet at the special NIA court in Jammu against a Pakistani terrorist and two overground workers affiliated with an offshoot of the proscribed Lashkar-e-Taiba outfit over their links with a terror conspiracy. Probe revealed that Habibullah, a native of Kasur district in Pakistan’s Punjab province, was found involved in several terror strikes in J&K’s twin frontier districts of Poonch and Rajouri, said an NIA spokesperson. Indoctrinated by Habibullah, Hilal and Musab had begun working as overground workers for the outfit.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) apprehended two suspects - Mussavir Hussain Shazib and Abdul Matheen Taha - in connection with Bengaluru's Rameswaram Cafe blast case on Friday. The two were nabbed near West Bengal's Kolkata. Mussavir Hussain Shazib has been identified as the alleged "mastermind" behind the low-intensity blast that occurred at a prominent eatery in Bengaluru on March 1. Shazib is accused of placing the improvised explosive device (IED) at the cafe. Additionally, Abdul Matheen Taha is implicated as a co-conspirator in the incident. Both Taha and Shazib hail from Thirthahalli in Shivamogga district, according to statements from the National Investigation Agency (NIA).
