Outrage is intensifying in Varanasi following a disturbing incident in Kolkata, igniting widespread anger and protests across the city. The tension was palpable at the Divisional Hospital in Varanasi, where junior doctors from Banaras Hindu University (BHU) have taken a bold stand, shutting down OPD services in protest. On Saturday, the unrest reached a new level as students from Shri Agrasen Kanya PG College led a powerful protest march, demanding justice and drawing attention to the gravity of the situation. The doctors, deeply moved by the incident, compared it to Delhi's infamous Nirbhaya case, expressing their fears and frustrations. In their statements, the doctors emphasized that the incident serves as a grim reminder that daughters are not safe, even in their own homeland.
