Indian states and union territories have collected a staggering Rs 12,632 crore in traffic violation fines from 2019 to 2024. Uttar Pradesh leads the pack with Rs 2,495 crore, followed by Haryana and Bihar. Over 18 crore e-challans were issued nationwide, with Tamil Nadu issuing the most. Interestingly, Andhra Pradesh's fine collection lagged significantly.
