Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) outbreak: 2 deaths reported in Kolkata

Two children from North 24 Parganas have succumbed to Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) at Kolkata hospitals. While several children are currently receiving treatment for GBS across different hospitals, experts confirm there is no surge in cases, maintaining an average frequency seen annually. GBS is identified as an auto-inflammatory and post-infective disorder.
