The Supreme Court reprimanded Telangana Police for wrongly converting a civil land dispute into a criminal case, favoring an influential builder and harassing a 70-year-old widow of a retired Major General. The court quashed the FIR, directing the complainant to pay Rs 10 lakh to the widow.
