In Chhattisgarh's Surguja district, a government school teacher allegedly subjected an eight-year-old girl to severe physical punishment for leaving class to use the toilet. The teacher reportedly forced the Class II student to do 100 sit-ups and beat her with a stick, causing serious muscle damage in her legs.
