Israel Defence Forces eliminates Hamas naval commander behind foiled infiltration attempt

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have announced that they killed Rateb Abu Sahiban, the commander of Hamas' naval forces, in a targeted airstrike. The operation was in response to Sahiban's involvement in planning a failed Hamas infiltration attempt via the sea on October 24. The IDF has shared footage of the strike on social media. Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, IDF Spokesman, stated that ground forces are actively conducting operations in Gaza. The conflict has resulted in chaos in the Strip, with communication difficulties and widespread panic. The IDF aims to eliminate Hamas while minimizing civilian casualties.
