A man was brutally thrashed by a group of people in Maharashtra's Thane.
The incident took place in Wagle Estate Division of Thane.
A video went viral on June 20 in which a man was seen being beaten up by 5-6 people.
While speaking to media, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of Wagle Estate Division in Thane, Prakash Nilewad said, "A video went viral on June 20 in which a man was seen being beaten up by 5-6 people." "The clothes of that man were torn off.
A case has been registered in the matter.
2 accused have been arrested and we will nab others soon," ACP added.
A fire broke out in the Saket slum area of Thane, Maharashtra, on Wednesday night. Police officials, Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) officials, and a fire brigade were present at the site with one fire engine, one rescue vehicle, and one water tanker, to douse the flames. One dead and three others sustained serious injuries after an SUV car rammed into a tree on Ghodbunder Road on June 13, police said. Personnel from Kapurbawdi Police, the Regional Disaster Management Cell (RDMC) and fire brigade rushed to the site with one fire engine and a rescue vehicle.
