Maharashtra govt plans to bring 'Shakti Act' to curb sexual offences against women, children
The Maharashtra government is planning to bring "Shakti Act" to curb sexual offences against women and children in the state.
While speaking to media persons in Nagpur on January 11, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh said, "We are bringing Shakti Act to take strict action in the cases of crimes against women and girls.
A Joint Selection Committee has been chosen for it, meeting has already taken place." "The Committee came to Nagpur today; it will go to Aurangabad and Mumbai later.
We'll also take the opinions and suggestions of women organisations; we've also invited lawyer organisations.
