Speaking on the Madhya Pradesh's Morena liquor incident, in which 10 people were died after consuming poisonous liquor, State Home Minister Narottam Mishra on January 12 said a team will investigate the matter and accused won't be spared, and the Station House Officer (SHO) has been suspended immediately. He said, "I'm deeply saddened by this. SHO has been suspended immediately. Senior officials have reached the site. A team will investigate the matter. Accused won't be spared." Earlier, around 10 people died and 5 people got hospitalised after falling sick due to consumption of poisonous liquor.

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra took a jibe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by saying that Prime Minister Narendra Modi including top leaders of BJP who also hold ministerial positions are campaigning in different parts of country for upcoming assembly elections and Rahul Gandhi which he called 'Puppu' is catching fish. A minor girl was allegedly raped in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior. Accused has been arrested in the heinous crime. While speaking to ANI, Gwalior SP, Amit Sanghi said, "The accused used to work in a shop of victim's father. After incident took place, victim ran to Datia where she came in contact with child protection agency and filed a zero FIR. Accused was arrested here."
