'No country has any business...': India's VP Naidu warns other nations on J&K

Venkaiah Naidu, delivered a clear warning to other nations on April 9.
Speaking at the convocation ceremony at Indian Institute of Management, Jammu, he said that the Union Territory is an integral part of India.
Stating that India has the capability to solve its own problems, he asked other nations to refrain from commenting on the J&K dispute or other Indian issus, and instead focus on their own domestic problems. Watch the full video for more.
Former Attorney General & Constitutional law expert Soli Sorabjee died on Friday. The 91-year-old veteran lawyer passed away after getting infected with Covid-19. Sorabjee had served as the Attorney General for India from 1989-90 & then from 1998-2004. The Former Attorney General was admitted to a private hospital in South Delhi. President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and condoled Sorabjee's demise. VP Venkaiah Naidu, union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, RS Prasad and Smriti Irani also paid their tribute to the former Attorney General. NCP chief Sharad Pawar and West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee also tweeted and expressed their condolences. Born in 1930, Soli Sorabjee had been honoured with Padma Vibhushan in 2002.

Justice NV Ramana took oath as the new Chief Justice of India (CJI) on April 24. He was administered the oath by President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu along with other dignitaries were present at the ceremony. Justice NV Ramana succeeded Justice SA Bobde and became the 48th person to hold the post of Chief Justice of India.
Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 14 interacted with Governors and Lieutenant Governors of all states and Union Territories on COVID-19 situation and ongoing vaccination drive in the country through video conferencing. PM Modi suggested that Governors can actively engage to ensure that social institutions collaborate seamlessly with the state governments towards micro containment. He also underlined that Centre is committed to ensuring adequate availability of vaccines. The Prime Minister added that during 'Tika Utsav', vaccination drive was expanded and new vaccination centres have also came up.
Three terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on May 6. The security forces launched a cordon and search operation in Kanigam area of the South Kashmir district during the night following information about the presence of terrorists. An official said as the presence of four newly recruited terrorists of Al-Badr outfit got ascertained, the security forces exercised maximum restraint and tried their best to persuade them to surrender. The terrorists turned down the offer to surrender and opened fire. However, one terrorist identified as Tausif Ahmad surrendered. Watch the full video for more.

The second wave of COVID has ravaged the country and the cases are continuously increasing in Jammu and Kashmir as well. Amid the devastation, DRDO in association with JandK administration started construction of 500-bedded COVID hospital in Budgam. All beds will be supported with supply of medical oxygen. There will be 125 fully-equipped ICU beds for COVID patients and 50-double room accommodation facility for doctors and paramedics staff. Locals appreciated this step of govt and extended full support towards it.
With Jammu and Kashmir in a lockdown till 7 am on May 3, Srinagar wore a deserted look. The streets were empty, and shops shuttered, as the Union Territory tries to curb the ongoing Covid wave. Amid spiralling COVID-19 cases and deaths, Jammu and Kashmir government announced 84-hour-long lockdown, starting from 7pm on April 29 to 7 am on May 03 in several districts of Union Territory. Police patrolled in markets of Udhampur in order to ensure guidelines are being adhered. Cases are being lodged against curfew violators. Only essential service will be exempted.
A baby was abandoned in Jammu's SMGS hospital after he died and tested positive for coronavirus. The parents fled reportedly after they were asked to get testing done themselves.

We are capable of solving our problems and no country for that matter has any business to interfere or make comments on internal affairs of another country. I advise some friends, who are trying to give unasked advice in between and make commentaries, to confine themselves to their domestic problems. We are capable of taking care of our own problems. They need not worry about us."
