However, on February 13, Air Force General Glen VanHerck
said that authorities will "continue to assess" the situation,
when asked if extraterrestrials had been ruled out.

A former United States intelligence official turned whistleblower has revealed an array of classified information to US Congress and the Intelligence Community Inspector General. These revelations pertain to US government's deeply covert programmes that allegedly possess intact and partially intact aircraft of non-human origin, marking an unprecedented disclosure that has, until now, remained shrouded in secrecy. A former intelligence and military official, David Grusch…has said that the United States’ secret government program has recovered non-human spacecrafts. He has also claimed that he has turned evidences that the UFO recovery program exists… over to the inspector general of the U.S. intelligence community. The US has been urged to disclose evidence of UFOs after a whistleblower former intelligence official said the government has possession of “intact and partially intact” alien vehicles. David Charles Grusch, who happens to be a decorated former combat officer who has fought in Afghanistan and has previously worked for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), has come forward as a whistleblower. He alleges that this vital information has been illegally withheld from Congress. He has also filed a complaint stating that he is facing illegal retaliation for his confidential disclosures. He left the government in April after a 14-year career in US intelligence.

for the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.
Grusch reportedly filed a whistleblower
complaint with Congress and the Intelligence

NASA has held its first public meeting on UFOs – officially referred to as “unidentified aerial phenomena” (UAPs)…a year after launching a study into unexplained sightings. UAP are defined as sightings "that cannot be identified as aircraft or known natural phenomena from a scientific perspective". The space agency televised the four-hour hearing featuring an independent panel of experts who had promised to be transparent. The panel represents the first such inquiry ever conducted under the auspices of the US space agency for a subject the government once consigned to the exclusive and secretive purview of military and national security officials. The official report will be made public in the month of July. This study by NASA is separate from the Pentagon's investigation into unidentified aerial phenomena, which is being studied by US intelligence officials. In the study, no secret military data were included, such as anything surrounding the suspected spy balloons from China spotted flying over the U.S. earlier this year. Unlike the Pentagon's All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, which has access to classified UAP data and is focused more on national security, NASA's study is based on unclassified reports and sightings to improve transparency and cross-agency communications.

NASA Holds First , Public Meeting of Expert Panel , on UFO Sightings.
'The Independent' reports that NASA has
convened a public meeting revolving around
sightings of unexplained phenomena. .
A panel has been tasked with investigating
sightings of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena
(UAPs), otherwise frequently known as UFOs.
NASA's first public discussion of
the topic comes ahead of a report
expected to be published later this year.
According to NASA, the panel seeks to make
it easier to submit reports of sightings
and investigate their nature. .
The presence of UAPs raises concerns
about the safety of our skies, and it’s
this nation’s obligation to determine
if these phenomena pose any
potential risks to airspace safety, Daniel Evans, NASA’s assistant deputy associate
administrator for research, via 'The Independent'.
According to Daniel Evans, NASA’s assistant deputy associate
administrator for research, the work highlights the agency's , “responsibility to be honest and
forthright and to follow the science.”.
The panel's chair, David Spergel, called for better data and
echoed other panelists' arguments that a "stigma" about
reporting sightings made it difficult to make a full examination.
Sean Kirkpatrick, director of the U.S.
Department of Defense’s all-domain anomaly
resolution office, or AARO, said that many sightings have , "readily explainable sources.”.
However, Kirkpatrick admits that a small
number of UAP reports are truly unusual.
'The Independent' reports that the panel, which
was formed in June of 2022, includes experts
in fields that range from physics to astrobiology.

Russia unleashed waves of air strikes on Kyiv overnight in what officials said was the largest drone attack of the city. Ukrainian military said that it downed 58 of the 59 drones launched, described by the air force as a record assault with the Iranian-made "kamikaze" drones. President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said all 36 drones targeting Kyiv had been destroyed. Kyiv has been targeted several times this month but despite this, fatalities are rare. Ukraine's Air Force said that Russia had targeted military and critical infrastructure facilities in central Ukraine on Sunday, and the Kyiv region in particular - as has been increasingly the case with a Ukrainian counteroffensive looming. Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked the country’s air defense forces for protecting the country and asked its parliament to impose sanctions against Iran for supplying Russia with weapons, including the Shahed drones.
