India's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval has launched a scathing critique of foreign media coverage surrounding the recent Operation Sindoor, Indiaâs successful counter-air offensive against Pakistan. During his statement, Doval highlighted the glaring disparity between global headlines and on-ground evidence. âShow me one image of damage on our side. Even a glass pane wasnât broken,â he said, slamming reports suggesting Pakistani retaliation inflicted damage in India.
Doval emphasized satellite images showcasing before-and-after visuals of 13 Pakistani air bases, including Chaklala and Sargodha, exposed only damage on their side. His remarks sent a powerful message on India's capability and the global narrative war surrounding cross-border strikes. This marks one of the strongest rebuttals to foreign press by an Indian security chief in recent times, asserting India's stance with sharp clarity.

In a historic and controversial move, Russia has become the first nation to officially recognise the Taliban government in Afghanistan. The announcement was met with cautious optimism on the streets of Kabul, where many Afghans are now urging neighboring powers like Iran, Pakistan, and India to âchoose friendshipâ over continued conflict. Locals say the recognition brings hope for stability, economic revival, and an end to international isolation. âWar brings only destruction. We want peace and cooperation,â said Ahmad Zia Popal, a Kabul resident. The Taliban, still sanctioned by the West and condemned for its human rights recordâespecially on womenâs rightsâcalled Russiaâs decision âcourageousâ and a model for others. While global criticism looms, many ordinary Afghans see this as a turning point. Moscowâs move also raises geopolitical questions as it deepens its footprint in the region amid growing tensions with the West.
